A NEW YEAR HAS BEGUN!

Let us take this opportunity to say to you all – Happy New Year.
What with Christmas out of the way and the new Year well and truly here, the shops look bare, our tummies are fuller and our pockets empty. But this has not stopped us from the starting the New Year with a bang in our shops!!

Attention has turned to providing our customers with a range of healthy food to start the New Year in the right way.

Bread - The good old favourites
Bread is the staple food of life. We all need fibre in our diets and bread certainly provides us with this. Our shops are full of a wide range of  breads. The traditional breads of white, wholemeal, granary and hovis are still the best sellers however we have a wide range of cobs and rolls of all shapes and sizes.

Multi Seed
This range of bread is high in fibre and low in fat. It contains 3 different types of seeds – poppy, seasame and sunflower. You can purchase it as cobs- ideal for slicing for toast, salads and soups or small individual cobs –great for packed lunches, childrens lunches and snacks. A great nutritious staple food with a twist.

Breakfast Loaf
This is a favourite with our regular customers. A high fibre granary bread packed full of fruit and raisins. This is a firm favourite with the mums as it is an ideal product to toast for the kids breakfasts and snacks.

The Brown Selection
This  boxed selection of  brown dinner cobs a mixture of 2 wholemeal, 2 granary and 2 multi seed. Great for the kids lunches and hearty winter soup.

The Takeaway Section
Our take away area today is a large area in what we do - providing the consumer with what they want.

We produce freshly made sandwichs to 100's of hungry customers daily with only the finest and freshest products available.
Our savouries are baked to perfection and all though not low in fat! Are sure to please. However we can follow this by very healthy options –

Fruit Salad / Melon Cups
A refreshing dessert or snack  packed full of fresh fruit, and juice served in sealed pot with spoon.

February - The month of love!!!
We have always been suckers for love!
We will be producing a valentines cake for all those mummies and daddies  for “pocket money” prices – a lovely gift.

A wide range of valentine short breads and ginger breads will fill the shelfs throughout feb, packaged and singular. For those of you who are getting married these products can also be made for favours for the wedding breakfast tailor made to suit your day. Please enquire for prices and designs to our wedding cake department.

Mothers Day

Pictures of our products will be shown at a closer date !

March
March lets us know that 'Spring has sprung'
In this month we will be celebrating 'Mothers Day'. Here we will be creating a 'Pocket Money' cake ideal for those little people in our lives to buy for their mums.

Not far from here we'll see the arrival of Easter!

April
ITS EASTER!
Our shops will be full of beautiful Easter products this year. Beautiful handmade packaging from Holland in the shapes of bunnies packed full of Belgian chocolates, ideal for place settings!

Easter cakes to order will be available soon to browse.

Desserts fit for a King!

Novelty Shortbread and Shortbread.
With the easter bread and shortbreads that were a great hit with the kids we have continued to carry on with this idea creating brad rolls in the shapes of animals including mice, teddies, bunnies, crabs etc. These are great for your childrens lunches and for party boxes for childrens parties in which we can create  kids boxes inclusive of a range of our food products along with a themed cake ( enquire within our shops)

The short bread novelties are a huge hit with our customers included in the above are also hands, butterflies, handbags, shoes, dresses fruit etc. These have proven to be ideal for christening  and wedding favours in which clients have chosen a baby or wedding cake  biscuit decorated to their liking.

The Housewife scone.
This scone has proven to be a hit with our customers. We moved away from our taditional “bakers” scone in Feb 06 and gave into the demand of our consumers for a housewife scone that is absolutely delicious when just baked or warm with melted butter. This product comes in three flavours – cherry, sultana and cranberry.

Raspberry and apple crumble.
These really do work. The blend of apple and raspberry compliment each other very well. A tray would serve approx 5 people and would be a delicious dessert to have in the garden on a warm night with fresh berries and cream. (Orders can be taken in advance.)

Bread and Butter Pudding.
This dessert is a great traditional English dessert. So why not compliment the family’s traditional Sunday lunch with a beautiful dessert that is creamy in the centre with a crusty top. Serves 5. (orders can be taken in advance)
